Getting together with others is a great way to stay connected to the local community, keep a healthy mental state, make new friends and have fun. We make this possible all throughout the year.
Our groups welcome everyone from all genders, ethnicity and backgrounds – it doesn’t matter!
NDIS Groups
We understand that feeling like a part of the community is important. We offer various activities and events for our people living with a disability, the following groups are supported by the NDIS:

Social Bus Trips
Men's Groups
Social Bus Trips
Social Bus Trip provides a bus outing to persons living with mild to moderate dementia and persons living with a disability in our community. The outing provides valuable respite for carers.
Social Bus Trips run on Mondays and Fridays every week from 12.30pm – 4pm
Men's Social Groups
The Men’s Social Group is aimed at socially isolated men. The group is to encourage social connectivity, which improves physical health and can have a powerful effect on mental and emotional well-being.
Men's Group meet every Thursday at Blue Haven Bonaira, Matterson Hall from 1.30–3pm
Lunch is provided
Seaside Group
Seaside Group provides a safe setting for structured activities. These activities are designed to develop, maintain and support independence and social interaction. Activities include arts, crafts, games, entertainers and guest speakers.
Seaside Group meet every Monday and Thursday at Blue Haven Bonaira, Matterson Hall from 10am–1pm

Senior Support Group
The Senior Support Group provides an opportunity for people to come together to share experiences, learn about other available services, gather information, and listen to guest speakers from time to time.
Senior Support Group meet every 3rd Thursday of the month at Blue Haven Bonaira, Matterson Hall from 10am–12noon
Up on Your Feet Exercise Group
The exercise group is a low impact class run by a qualified physiotherapist. The class targets core functionality and general movement, chairs are available for each class. Light exercise can help to reduce the incidence of falls.
Up on Your Feet Exercise Group runs every Tuesday at Blue Haven Bonaira, Matterson Hall from 11am-12noon
Seniors Afternoon Tea
Seniors Afternoon Tea provides a safe space to express and share thoughts, ideas and feelings. It's a chance to unwind as well as making new friends and social networking.
Senior Afternoon Tea runs fortnightly on Fridays at Blue Haven Bonaira, Matterson Hall from 1.30-3pm
Kiambour Social Group
Kiambour Social Group is for persons under 65 living with a disability, to provide activities and outings for active younger people to assist in maintaining their independence while also promoting social interaction.
Kiambour Social Group runs fortnightly on Wednesdays from 10am – 2.30pm
Ten Pin Bowling Group
Ten Pin Bowling Group provides supported and socially inclusive bowling activity for persons under 65 living with a disability. It also provides carers a break from their caring role and time out to rest and recover. Monday and Tuesday weekly from 4.30– 8.30pm
