COVID update – 26 June 2023

Blue Haven has reported an outbreak of COVID-19 at our Blue Haven Bonaira Residential Aged Care facility.

Several residents across two houses have tested positive for COVID-19, which is defined as an ‘outbreak’.

The Public Health Unit has been notified and immediate infection control changes have been made, including adjustments to visiting arrangements in the affected houses.

COVID and Flu cases are prevalent across many aged care homes nationally and locally.

Like all all aged care homes, we are working hard to balance appropriate infection control protocols with important social and visiting requirements.

At Blue Haven, broad testing is occurring and we have advised all residents, particularly at Bonaira, to take extra precautions such as wearing face masks and washing hands or using sanitiser.
