Aged Care Commission site audit at Blue Haven Bonaira RACF

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission this week conducted a two-day site audit at our Blue Haven Bonaira Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF).

“We extend our thanks and gratitude to all our hard-working Blue Haven staff for their valuable assistance during the site audit. We wish to thank our residents and any friends and family who came to visit for their patience and cooperation with the process, and those that specifically participated in the audit process,” said Joe Gaudiosi, Kiama Municipal Council Chief Operating Officer.

The unannounced visit was carried out as part of the follow-up process to the Accreditation Assessment conducted in September 2022 when Blue Haven successfully received Accreditation for a further period of two years and six months under section 41 of the Commission Rules.

Blue Haven currently has accreditation until April 2025.

This is a normal part of the continuous improvement process. These findings provide valuable insights and guidance, enabling the facility to make informed decisions and focus on improved service delivery.
