Long-serving Director Blue Haven Clare Rogers has announced her resignation to move closer to family on the NSW mid-north coast.
Acting General Manager Jessica Rippon has thanked Ms Rogers for her tireless dedication to Blue Haven and Kiama Council over 14 years.
“Clare in her time with Council and Blue Haven, has led major community programs, projects and initiatives,” Ms Rippon said.
“She will be best remembered for her role leading Blue Haven during the years we spent planning, building and then starting to run our new Blue Haven Bonaira centre.”
“However, the range of her achievements with Council goes well beyond this helping lead our library and youth services, as well as our community and cultural development programs.”
Some of Ms Roger’s key achievements include employing Council’s first Aboriginal Liaison Officer and securing support for the Kiama Dementia Friendly project.
“On behalf of all Council staff and our community I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Clare for her commitment to our community and passion for excellence in community services over her many years at Council.”
“Clare has been an invaluable leader who has inspired and supported her staff, and we wish her all the best for next adventure.”
