A convenient way to travel
As part of our commitment to the local community, Blue Haven provides a door-to-door transport service to assist clients in remaining independent and living in their own homes for longer. Services include transport to non-urgent health/medical appointments, shopping, library visits, community groups, social outings and special events.

Who can use the service?
Our Community Transport service is available to residents within the Kiama Local Government Area who are:
- Frail aged or living with a disability
- Carers of the above
- Those unable to access public or private transport
To register for Community Transport contact My Aged Care and register yourself for transport.
Or, if you are under 65 years (55 years if you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) and are not eligible under the NDIS contact Blue Haven Transport directly on (02) 4203 4904 and our Transport Facilitator will assess your eligibility and needs.

Keeping you connected
Blue Haven Community Transport services are primarily provided by our team of dedicated volunteers. Transport is by mini bus or car, depending on availability. All Blue Haven buses are Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs). Enquire now on (02) 4203 4904.

CALD and ATSI groups
Blue Haven’s Community Transport, receive CTP – Community Transport Funding that covers people who are from a CALD – Culturally and Linguistically Diverse background and ATSI – Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander background. This funding also covers transport disadvantaged, socially and or geographically isolated and financially disadvantaged members of the community.

SERVICE ELIGIBILITY
Accessing Blue Haven’s Community Transport service
To access community transport you must register with
My Aged Care. Registration can be done by yourself, carer, family, friend, or social worker from a hospital. Once registered you’ll receive an Aged Care or Client Identification Number. Contact us on (02) 4203 4904 or email us at enquiries@bluehavencare.com.au and tell our friendly customer service staff your number.
OR
Those unable to access public or private transport and are under 65 years (55 years for ATSI -Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders) can contact us directly on (02)4203 4904. You do not need to go through the My Aged Care Portal, your eligibility and needs are assessed by the Blue Haven Transport Facilitator.
