Kiama Council advises we are moving towards an agreement with the preferred tenderer in what is a complex process. We had anticipated that a five-week period would see the culmination of this process but this has not been possible.
At this stage, an outcome is expected in late March.
Any draft agreement arising from the negotiation with the preferred tenderer will be returned to Council for resolution prior to contract execution.
Once an agreement has been reached, we will be able to announce and update residents, staff and the general community.
Council resolved to consider the Community Transport component in a separate process to the main tender due to specific requirements by Transport for NSW and this is also progressing.
The CEO and her team are meeting regularly with the preferred tenderer, lawyers and also Bonaira residents in our Residential Aged Care Facility and Independent Living Units, and staff.
